Louis C. Curtiss Historic Renovation
Kansas City, Missouri
Historic Architectural Landmark
Concept Development
The proposed hospitality concept explored the adaptive reuse of the historic Louis Curtiss Studio Building, a nationally recognized architectural landmark originally constructed in 1909 as the personal studio of architect Louis Curtiss. Celebrating the building's pioneering glass curtain wall design and architectural legacy, the concept envisioned a boutique hotel experience that preserved the structure's historic character while introducing contemporary hospitality amenities. The project sought to create a destination that honors Kansas City's architectural heritage while contributing to the continued revitalization of the downtown core.
